Scott Lang's Memoir: A Glimpse into the Life of Ant-Man
Scott Lang, the superhero known to many as Ant-Man, is set to add another title to his repertoire: published author. His memoir, "Look Out for The Little Guy," (a real world publication) promises to give fans an intimate look into his life, from his early days of committing a crime for the greater good to his adventures as a member of the Avengers.
As showcased in the film "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania," Scott Lang's memoir has not only been written but has also become a bestseller. The movie portrays Scott on a book tour, engaging with fans and sharing snippets from his life. The real-life version of the book, brought to life by Hyperion Avenue in collaboration with Marvel Studios, offers a candid account of Scott's challenges and victories, including the official narrative of the events between The Avengers and the formidable Thanos.
Scott Lang humorously reflects on his journey, stating, "Once upon a time I was just a guy living a normal life who committed a crime (for the greater good!), unfortunately, went away for a couple of years, got out and became a Super Hero, joined the Avengers, went down to the Quantum Realm, and then came back and saved the universe. You know, typical dad stuff." He invites readers to delve into his book to understand the perspective of "the little guy" who sometimes becomes "the very, very big guy" and plays a pivotal role in defeating threats like Thanos.
The memoir is not just about his superhero escapades. It comprises over 20 short pieces that delve into various facets of Scott's life, capturing his roles as Ant-Man, a father, an Avenger, and an ordinary man reflecting on extraordinary moments. These stories encapsulate the essence of Scott Lang, highlighting the heart, humor, and humility that have endeared him to fans worldwide.
"Look Out for The Little Guy" is set to hit the shelves on September 5, 2023, and is available for preorder from February 2. Published by Hyperion Avenue, the hardcover adult fiction book is priced at $26.99. As Bruce Banner, a fellow Avenger, aptly puts it, the book "introduces the man behind the hero, and the hero I call friend."
